Accounts Payable Specialist

Responsibilities

·         Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

·         Match invoices to purchase orders.

·         Code invoices to the appropriate general ledger accounts.

·         Prepare and process weekly payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers).

·         Verify pricing, quantities, and approval authorization prior to payment.

·         Maintain organized and accurate records of all accounts payable transactions.

·         Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies or billing issues.

·         Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain positive relationships.

·         Assist with month-end closing activities, including accruals and reporting.

·         Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and audit requirements.

    Qualifications

    ·         Associate degree in accounting or related field.

    ·         1-3 years of accounts payable or general accounting experience.

    ·         Experience with ERP or accounting systems.

    ·         Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

    ·         Basic understanding of accounting principles.

    ·         Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data entry.

    ·         Strong organization and time management skills.

    ·         Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.

    ·         Effective communication

    ·         Ability to work independently or as a part of a team.

        • Warrior pays 100% of employee's premiums.
        • Warrior pays 100% of dependents' life insurance premium (not eligible for STD, LTD & ADD).
      • Voluntary Life Insurance with Accidental Death & Dismemberment
        • Current provider is Guardian.
        • Reasonable rates for employee and dependent coverage paid for 100% by employee (employee must be enrolled to include dependent coverage).
      • Flexible Spending Account (non-taxable payroll deductions for Health Care and Dependent Care).
      • Health Savings Account (non-taxable payroll deductions when enrolled in Warrior's qualifying plan).
    • The first of the quarter after 6 months of employment (if age 21 or older), FT employees are eligible to enroll in Warrior's 401(k) retirement plan.

    Wages

    • $50,000 to $60,000 per year
      • Pay is based on experience.
